Sound Devices CL-16 Linear Fader Control Surface for 888 and Scorpio Mixer-Recorders

The Sound Devices CL-16 is a mixer controller that blends the features of a conventional channel strip with the strength and adaptability of contemporary digital mixers. It is made for 8-series or Scorpio mixers. The CL-16 enhances cart-based location mixing by allowing you to control channels, outputs, menus, metadata, and even on-set communications once you connect it to your mixer recorder using the provided USB Type-B to USB Type-A connector. The 16 Penny & Giles 100mm linear faders that come with the CL-16 are regarded as some of the smoothest faders available. In addition, there are 16 trim pots specifically designed for that purpose and a sunlit panoramic LCD screen on the machine. A large portion of the required read-out data from your 8-series mixer recorder will be handled by this display.

32 multifunction controls allow you to change gains beyond channel 16, as well as bus and output gains, EQ, and panning adjustments. There are five buttons that you may program to perform the things you think are most important. Additionally, there are built-in USB ports on the back of the device that can be used to charge other compatible devices including tablets, phones, and battery chargers. There are two USB Type-C and three USB Type-A connectors. There are two headphone jacks, one 1/4" and the other 3.5mm. You can use the ten-pin remote input for custom wiring of LEDs and switches. You can also use the TRS footswitch input, for which a 1/4" cable is included. Using any suitable cord that can be purchased separately, power the device via the XLR 4-pin jack.
